Splash parks in the UK

Splash pads, paddling pools and water-play spots for warmer days.

Water play covers a lot of ground here, from a fountain you stumble into to a proper splash park you would travel for. High Lea Park has one on a site that also suits a family walk and exploring at any age. London is well covered. Brockwell Park has a lido splash area. Victoria Park Splash Pool and Elephant Springs both run through the warm months. The fountains at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain are where children end up soaked without anyone having planned it, so a spare set of clothes is never wasted. Further out, Verulamium Park and Cassiobury Park keep splash parks of their own. Almost all of this is outdoors and seasonal, which is the thing to check before setting off. The ones attached to a lido or a cafe keep their own hours, some run timed sessions in peak weeks, and a few need booking in advance rather than turning up. Ashbourne Park Splash Park and Church Walk Paddling Pool are on this page, and so are Castaway Play, Shepperton Splash, The Strand and Swanley Park.
