Things to do with kids in Lambeth

Lambeth gives you the South Bank, which means a great deal of London's best known family attractions are within a few minutes of each other on foot. The London Eye is the 135-metre observation wheel with panoramic views over the city, and SEA LIFE London Aquarium is inside County Hall on the same stretch of riverside, with sharks, penguins and sea turtles. Doing both in one visit is the obvious move, and it saves a great deal of walking with tired legs. Away from the riverside crowds, the area rewards a bit of exploring. Leake Street Graffiti Tunnels are free, and children are welcome to bring paint pens and add something of their own. Vauxhall City Farm puts animals within reach of central London. The Southbank Centre runs family trails and creative play, and Substation covers bouldering and neon climbing for children with energy to burn. Thames Rockets runs a one-hour boat trip past the river sights with a high-speed stretch by Tower Bridge, and BrewDog Waterloo has a slide for children and seating for the adults.
