Things to do with kids in Liverpool

Liverpool's family attractions cluster around a walkable city centre, with room to roam further out. The Museum of Liverpool runs a free play session for younger children, and Liverpool ONE has hosted a Find the Flock trail with AR scenes and games woven through the shopping district, alongside fairground rides, trampolines, free sports sessions and a free beach area. The Liverpool Empire stages touring family productions including Mary Poppins and Matilda The Musical, and sits opposite the Liverpool Christmas Markets, which bring a big wheel, a merry-go-round, a runaway train, carnival games, trampolines, a helter skelter and an alpine bar into the city centre. For something hands-on, Makers Cove is a family-run creative studio offering pottery painting, keyring decorating, t-shirt painting, holiday sessions and party packages. Mini Villagers, in Aintree, is a role-play village and cafe where small children dress up, pretend and problem-solve.
